BJSD Space Design Institute was founded in 2006, its predecessor was Jimei SD Space Design Studio of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. Now, it is headquartered in Beijing 798 International Art District, and has established branches in Changsha and Guangzhou successively. It is a well-known professional institution specializing in space art design and implementation, cultural and artistic activity planning, and cultural and creative product design. The scope of space art design includes architectural concept design, interior design, display design and production, urban visual design, landscape design, VI design, etc; The planning of cultural and artistic activities includes taking art as the medium, integrating domestic and foreign artists' resources, cooperating with domestic and foreign cultural and artistic institutions, colleges and universities, and public media to create a top international art exhibition and sales platform.
BJSD takes "space design integration" as its design concept in art design. Classic cases include the overall design and implementation of the exhibition of the China National Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010, the exhibition design and production of the "Urban People's Pavilion" at the Shanghai World Expo in cooperation with the famous Dutch design company KOSOM, the key exhibition project of the 2008 Olympic Games - "Miracle Tiangong" Chinese Treasure Exhibition, and the overall design of the reconstruction and expansion of the new Hunan Provincial Museum in cooperation with the Japanese architect Yoshizaki Xin, It has been praised by all circles of politics and business and paid attention to by world art masters.
Since 2014, BJSD, in the form of contemporary art, has first held a team solo exhibition in the Art Museum of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, which integrates art, space design, science and technology, and humanities, and has successively conducted tour exhibitions in the Art Museum of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Lincoln Center in New York, and BMW Exhibition Center in Kudam Street, Berlin, A series of visual feasts of international design and art were presented to domestic and foreign audiences, which caused great repercussions in the art world, and became the only Chinese art team to hold an exhibition in the BMW Exhibition Center in Berlin, Germany.
In 2015, BJSD undertook the specific implementation of the New York series of activities of "Happy Spring Festival · Art China". The New York series of activities of "Happy Spring Festival, Art China", sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China and co organized by the Central Academy of Fine Arts and the American Chinese Cultural Association, is the first large-scale international art activity to promote traditional Chinese culture in the form of contemporary public art.
