Comparison of search results between Sina Weibo and Baidu Weibo

The author will take Sina Weibo as an example to analyze the differences. We can see that the microblog search algorithm of microblog platform is more trend and social factors. See the following figure for the ranking results of Weibo content after searching for the keyword "old yogurt" on Sina Weibo platform. We can see that the microblog content that has been widely evaluated and forwarded will rank first, while the second is generally related microblog content sent by people we follow. In the third place is the latest microblog content.

From the above two different search results, we can not say that Baidu's microblog ranking algorithm is inferior to Sina's microblog search algorithm, but we can see that although microblog platforms share microblog content through API and let search engines index, it does not mean that they provide all microblog information to Baidu. For example, we can see that the microblog content in Baidu's search results does not comment on the forwarded data, let alone the social relations between different accounts, because we cannot log on to Baidu using microblog accounts, and Baidu cannot identify the social relations between the searcher and microblog accounts.
 
From the above, we can see that although Baidu strives to add social signals to the search results, Baidu does not have its own social platform, and does not have the most basic social relations (listening or not listening) and social participation (comments and forwarding) on Weibo, so it cannot really influence rankings through social signals. For microblog marketers, the simplest and most effective way to keep our information in Baidu microblog search results is to publish as many microblog information about relevant keywords through a large number of microblog accounts as possible. Therefore, according to the author's conjecture, Baidu will introduce the technology of posting spam information on microblog in the future, which we will wait and see.
