1、 Inspection and adjustment of each process on the critical path
The critical path determines the total construction period, and the shortening or extension of any process (key process) on the critical path will affect the progress of the whole project. Therefore, the focus of inspection and adjustment should first analyze the key processes, study whether these processes may be advanced or delayed, analyze the reasons at any time, and take measures to adjust. For example, when the duration of some processes on the critical path is shortened or extended, the time parameters of subsequent processes and non critical processes on the critical path will be changed accordingly. Therefore, it is necessary to make necessary adjustments to these processes and recalculate the time parameters to make them meet the requirements.
2、 Inspection and adjustment of processes on non critical routes
When the operation time of some operations on the non critical path is extended, but within the total time difference of the operations, the time parameters of the corresponding operations are changed, but the total duration is not affected. In general, the network plan does not need to be adjusted. If the extended time of non critical process exceeds the available time difference, the critical path may be transferred and a new critical path may be generated. At this time, the non critical path needs to be checked and appropriate adjustment should be made to meet the requirements of the construction period.
3、 Check network number and adjust network logical relationship
When some operations need to be added during the implementation of the network plan, it is necessary to check the number, readjust the logical relationship, and calculate the adjusted critical path and total duration. If the original network plan number considers the possibility of adding an operation and has an alternative number, it is not necessary to change the original number of some operations to add an operation arrow and item, and add a blank number.
4、 Adjustment report of network
Another function of dynamic adjustment is to provide the management department with objective information about project progress at regular intervals. If the CPM network chart is not used for the regular report, the project relationship will be blurred like the bar chart. Regular adjustment report in the form of CPM network diagram is prepared according to the actual project completion.
The weekly CPM progress report shall be determined by the construction unit and submitted to the relevant management department. However, it is necessary to coordinate with relevant units and personnel to make adjustments at regular intervals, so as to exchange information in a timely manner and make relevant adjustment reports more practical. The relevant personnel assisted by other units shall cooperate closely with the personnel of the construction unit, and the construction unit shall truthfully and comprehensively reflect the actual situation of things even if the situation is not ideal. This kind of adjustment with the participation of personnel from other units can help the personnel of the construction unit not only see the part of the problem, but also see the whole picture of the project. For example, in the construction of a certain type of cargo ship, when discussing the painting process, the original plan adopted by the factory was that the paint shop would construct a section and paint from one end layer by layer, so the painting work of the whole ship would take 40 days. After the calculation of network planning parameters, it is found that the painting process is on the critical path, and the painting progress must be accelerated, so it is decided to use two sections for construction, and paint at both ends in layers. In order to reduce the auxiliary time, movable and adjustable scaffolds are also used, which greatly shortens the construction time and ensures the construction progress of the whole ship.
5、 Adjustment cycle of network
The construction unit shall mark the progress of the project on the CPM network diagram every day and submit a report according to the CPM progress every week. There is no specific regulation on how often to adjust the network diagram, which depends on the project. For example, two equipment overhaul projects of Nylon Plant with a construction period of 30 days need to be adjusted every day. For projects with a construction period of six months to one year, it is OK to adjust every other week. For projects with a construction period of more than one year, it is enough to adjust once every half month in the first year. Sometimes, because the work is in full swing and the project construction is in peak stage, the adjustment time can be shortened to once a week, and then restored to once every half month.
