Shangpin signs a contract with the website construction project of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Animals, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences

Established in 1980, the Institute of Medical Laboratory Animals is one of the professional research institutes of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. The Institute is a professional research institute engaged in research and teaching of experimental zoology and comparative medicine. It is the only research unit in China that integrates resource creation, species conservation, production and supply of experimental animals and disease animal models, comparative medical technology research, and experimental animal technology training. It is also the undertaking unit of the national experimental animal technology platform for infectious diseases and new drug creation and research, It is the key laboratory of comparative medicine for human diseases of the Ministry of Health and the third level laboratory of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The Institute has passed the national laboratory accreditation and international AAALAC certification.
The mission of the Institute is to provide laboratory animal resources, human disease model resources, comparative medical analysis, evaluation technology services and talent training for biomedical research, and to realize the support of laboratory animal resources, technology, information exchange and talent.
The main research fields of the Institute include: development of genetic engineering animal models; Development of animal models of human diseases; Comparative medical research; Preservation and supply of laboratory animal strains; Research on quality inspection technology of laboratory animals.

Since its establishment, it has cultivated 112 graduate students (66 masters, 46 doctors) and 5 post doctors; Regularly hold training classes for laboratory animals, and conduct induction training for laboratory animals in Beijing twice a year. Actively participated in the publicity activities of Science and Technology Week and Science Popularization Day sponsored by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, popularized scientific knowledge, advanced technology and concepts of experimental animals to the public, improved the scientific understanding of experimental animals to the public, and enhanced their knowledge literacy of experimental animals.
The Institute is the only national level professional research institution of laboratory animal science and comparative medicine in China, and leads the development of domestic laboratory animal science in the following three aspects. It is a window for domestic laboratory animal science circles and international exchanges.
(1) The Institute is affiliated to the National Laboratory Animal Quality Testing Center and the Quality Testing Center of the Ministry of Health, and is responsible for providing technical support and supervision to the national quality testing sub centers;
(2) The Institute is the affiliated unit of the Chinese Society of Laboratory Animals and the China Laboratory Animal Standardization Committee, the publishing unit of the Chinese Journal of Laboratory Animals and the Chinese Journal of Comparative Medicine, and the training base for laboratory animal talents nationwide;
(3) The Institute is the unit undertaking the experimental animal technology platform of the national infectious disease prevention and new drug development research project, and is responsible for providing experimental animal resources and technical services.
