WeChat applet starts charging for obtaining mobile phone number

This capability is designed to help developers apply for mobile phone numbers from users, and only after users' consent can developers obtain mobile phone numbers verified by the platform to provide users with corresponding services.

The difference between this capability and the mobile phone number real-time verification component is:

Mobile number quick verification component, the platform will verify the number, but it is not guaranteed to be real-time verification;

The mobile phone number real-time verification component will verify the mobile phone number selected by the user in real time every time the request is made.

Please note that:

At present, this interface is for non individual developers, and has completed the opening of authenticated applet (excluding overseas entities);

When this capability is used, users can choose to bind numbers or add numbers independently. The platform will verify the number based on the underlying capabilities such as SMS provided by the three major operators in China, but it is not guaranteed to be real-time verification;

Developers are requested to judge and choose whether to use it according to the needs of business scenarios, and consider adding other security verification methods when necessary.

Developers need to use it reasonably. If it is found or users report that the developer unreasonably requires users to provide personal information such as mobile phone numbers, which interrupts the normal use process and affects the user's use experience, WeChat has the right to handle the applet according to the WeChat Applet Platform Operation Management Specification. Common violations and specific analysis;

Charge description

From August 28, 2023, the mobile phone number quick verification component will need to be used for a fee. The standard unit price is 0.03 yuan for each successful component call. For more package prices, please refer to WeChat public platform - payment management.

Please note that:

Experience quota: Each applet account will have 1000 experience quotas for development, debugging and experience. The 1000 times of experience quota is shared by the official version, the experience version and the development version of the applet. After exceeding the quota, the experience version and the development version of the applet will be charged the same as the official version of the applet;

Validity period of resource package: for orders purchased before August 28, 2023, the resource package will take effect on August 28, 2023; For orders purchased after August 28, 2023, the resource package will take effect immediately after successful payment; The expiration time of each resource package will be calculated according to the validity period selected at the time of purchase;

Resource use order: by default, it will be deducted from the experience quota first, and then from the paid resource package after deduction; If there are more than one paid resource package, it will be deducted from the most recently expired resource package according to the expiration time sequence of resource packages, and so on;

Refund rules: If the purchase is wrong and the resource package has not been formally used, you can apply for a refund within 7 days after the payment is successful. The payment will be returned from the original payment path within 3-5 working days; If the resource package has been used (once or more), you cannot apply for a refund; If no refund application is initiated more than 7 days after successful payment, no refund can be applied again.

Applets that meet one of the following conditions will not be charged for using this capability, as follows:

The main types of account WeChat authentication are small programs of government and non-profit organizations;

The main type of account WeChat authentication is a public institution, and the category is a small program of government affairs and people's livelihood;

The account category is public medical institutions and academic education (schools) WeChat applet
