1. Add Text
You can enter the required text anywhere in the web page. How can you make the text richer and more lively? 2. Insert Picture
When designing a web page, adding pictures at the right time can not only reduce the lengthy text narration, but also beautify the web page.

(1) The format of the picture file.
There are two commonly used image file formats on web pages, namely GIF and JPEG. They are both compressed image files and have the advantage of cross platform. Therefore, most browsers regard them as standard specifications. GIF file format with transparent background. If you need to save a transparent background, select the GIF file format, which can be displayed in the form of interlaced pictures. First, carry the whole figure in a rough form, see the rough outline of the figure, and then continue to include the complete figure to show the full picture. JPEG image files are compressed in a distorted way. Because the "pixel information" of the image is subtracted during the compression of the image file, the image will be distorted. However, JPEG image files will not be sacrificed in terms of color, and can support 24 bit color of true color. For true color continuous tones, pictures without obvious edges, such as landscape photos, are suitable for saving in JPEG image file format.

(2) Canadian pictures.
First, confirm the position of inserted picture, and select Insert Person/Picture/From File to open the Picture dialog box, as shown in the figure.
 

 
The pictures can come from four aspects: ① the current website. If the picture to be added already exists in the recent website, you can directly select it in the file list window in the [Picture] dialog box, and then click [OK]. ② Clip art. You can select the [Insert Person]/[Clip Art] menu item, and the steps for inserting clip art are similar to those of Word 2000. ③ Select a picture file from your computer. If the picture file to be inserted already exists in a folder on the computer, click [Select a file from the computer] to open a [Select file] dialog box, where you can switch to the folder where the picture file is located, select the corresponding file, and click [OK]. ④ Use the browser to select a picture file. There are many websites dedicated to collecting pictures on the Internet. You can also directly connect to these websites to find pictures. Click the [Use web browser to select web pages or files] button to open the browser preset by FrontPage. In the browser, enter the corresponding website address, right click the picture to insert, select View Picture from the shortcut menu that pops up, switch back to the Picture window, and click OK.

When saving a page containing a picture, if the picture is not in the site folder, the Save Embedded File dialog box will pop up, as shown in the figure. The following settings must be made: click Rename, and the picture file object must be named with an English name, otherwise it cannot be displayed normally in the browser. Click the [Change Folder] button, and select the picture folder in the site to store in the pop-up dialog box. Click the [Setting Operation] button. When you select [Save this File] in the pop-up dialog box, the picture will be placed in the root directory of the site. If you do not save, you can only browse the picture locally. The pictures on the web page should be as small as possible. Large pictures can be combined by several small pictures. The pictures greatly affect the network speed. Adjusting the pictures smaller in the web page does not mean changing the size of the pictures. When displaying a web page containing pictures, first download the pictures of the original size, and then display them according to the set proportion.
