The 128 Highway Science Park in eastern Boston is as famous as the Silicon Valley in western San Francisco. Highway 128 is located in Boston, Massachusetts, on the east coast of the United States. It was built in 1951. It is a 90 km long highway that encircles Boston in a semicircle and is 16 km away from the urban area. Boston is an important educational city in the United States. In 1972, Ottawa University established the first science park in Europe. In 1969, with the support of the government, local governments, business circles and academia, the Paris Higher School of Mining put forward the plan of building a science city in Sophie Antipolis that integrates scientific research and technological development. With the increasing number of research institutions and enterprises, France's first science city should be established and developed rapidly. Bordeaux Science and Technology Industrial Park is another distinctive science and technology park in France. There are European Propulsion Company and Soda Aerospace Company in the region, which are the backbone enterprises in the European aerospace industry and produce high-tech products, including Ariana rocket engines. IBM, Motorola, Siemens and other world famous companies have set up institutions and opened factories here.

The German Science and Technology Industrial Park has become an important strategic measure for Germany to realize the high-tech development plan and accelerate the development of technology intensive industries. The German government has specially formulated the Plan for Creating Technology Intensive Industries, raised a large amount of funds, and fully supported the construction of science and technology industrial parks. In 1983, the first German technology industrial park, the Berlin Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, was founded in West Berlin.
