The National Supercomputing Tianjin Center (NSCC-TJ) was officially approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China in May 2009 and jointly built by Tianjin Binhai New Area and National University of Defense Science and Technology A national supercomputing center based on research results. The construction goal of Tianjin Center is to provide high-performance computing services for enterprises and research institutes in Tianjin, around Bohai Bay, and even nationwide; To improve the national scientific and technological innovation capability and promote industrial technological innovation; Build a high-end information industry base in Tianjin Binhai New Area.
Tianjin Center has a council (composed of relevant leaders of Binhai New Area, Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone and National University of Defense Technology) and an expert committee, and the following functional departments: System Management Department, Operation and Maintenance Department, Application Research and Development Department, Personnel Department and Finance Department.
The main business computer of Tianjin Center is one of the fastest "Tianhe-1" supercomputers in the world at present. It is supported by the 863 Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China (MOST), a major project of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China (MOST). It was jointly developed by the National University of Defense Technology and Binhai New Area in September 2010.
In addition to the "Tianhe-1" supercomputer, the Tianjin Center is also equipped with three high-performance computer systems, including the Tianhe Tianteng (TH-1) system with a computing performance of one million billion times; Tianhe Tianxiang system with 128 Intel EX5675 CPUs; Tianhe Tianchi system with 96 CPUs; The four sets of computer systems are oriented to different application fields and will provide high-quality high-performance computing and cloud services.
