Web Design It is the process of creating a website. It includes several different aspects, including web page layout, content production and graphic design. Although the terms web design and web development are often used interchangeably, web design is technically a subset of the broader category of web development.

Create websites using a markup language called HTML. Web designers use HTML tags to build Web pages, which define the content and metadata of each page. The layout and appearance of elements in a Web page are usually defined using CSS or cascading style sheets. Therefore, most websites contain a combination of HTML and CSS to define how each page is displayed in the browser.

Some web designers prefer to write code pages by hand (input HTML and CSS from scratch), while others use "WYSIWYG" editors like Adobe Dreamweaver. This type of editor provides a visual interface for designing web page layout, and the software automatically generates corresponding HTML and CSS code. Another popular way to design websites is to use content management systems such as WordPress or Joomla. These services provide different website templates that can be used as starting points for new websites. The webmaster can then use the web-based interface to add content and customize the layout.

 Web Design

Although HTML and CSS are used to design the look and feel of a website, images must be created separately. As a result, graphic design may overlap with web design because graphic designers often create images for use on the Web. Some graphics programs, such as Adobe Photoshop, even include the "Save for Web..." option, which provides a convenient way to export images in Web publishing optimized formats.

Stands for Hypertext Markup Language. HTML is the language used to create web pages. "Hypertext" refers to hyperlinks that may be included in HTML pages. "Markup language" refers to such tags to define the page layout and elements within the page.

The following is an example of HTML used to define a basic Web page with a title and a single text segment. This is an example of a paragraph in HTML.

The first line defines the type of content the document contains. "" indicates that the page is written in HTML5. A well formed HTML page should contain and tag these tags are included in the above example. The link between the page title metadata and the reference file is placed between the tags. The actual content of the page is between the tags.

The website has undergone many changes over the past decades, but HTML has always been the basic language for developing web pages. Interestingly, although websites have become more advanced and interactive, HTML has actually become simpler. If you compare the source of an HTML5 page with similar pages written in HTML 4.01 or XHTML 1.0, the HTML5 page may contain less code. This is because modern HTML relies on cascading style sheets or JavaScript to format almost all elements in the page.

Note: Many dynamic websites use server-side scripting languages (such as PHP or ASP) to generate web pages in real time. However, even dynamic pages must be formatted with HTML. Therefore, scripting languages typically generate HTML sent to Web browsers

Css stands for cascading style sheet. Cascading style sheets are used to format the layout of a Web page. They can be used to define the text style, table size and other aspects of the Web page that can only be defined in the HTML of the page before.

CSS helps Web developers create a unified look and feel on multiple pages of a website. Instead of defining the style of each table and each text block in the HTML of the page, you need to define the common style only once in the CSS document. Once a style is defined in a cascading style sheet, it can be used by any page that references a CSS file. In addition, CSS can easily change the style of multiple pages at the same time. For example, a Web developer might want to increase the default text size of 50 pages of a website from 10pt to 12pt. If the pages all reference the same style sheet, you only need to change the text size on the style sheet, and all pages will display larger text.

While CSS is great for creating text styles, it can also help format other aspects of the page layout. For example, CSS can be used to define the cell fill of table cells, the style, thickness and color of table borders, and the fill around images or other objects. CSS enable Website construction People can control the appearance of Web pages more precisely than HTML. That's why most Web pages today contain cascading style sheets.
