Beijing 21st Century International School (formerly known as 21st Century Experimental School), founded in 1993, is the first new boarding school with international characteristics that "the government provides policies, enterprises provide funds, and experts run schools". In April 2010, Haidian District Government officially approved the school to be renamed "Beijing 21st Century International School". In June 2011, the school held an unveiling ceremony and officially transformed into the first international school in Haidian District. The school is located in Enjizhuang, Haidian District. The campus covers an area of 88000 square meters, and the school building covers an area of 51586 square meters. It has a primary school department, a junior high school department, and a senior high school department, with more than 2000 students.
